In last week’s blog we looked at where we are NOW. In one example, you may have determined you are happy right where you are, your life is full of Abundance…there is nothing lacking or missing in all areas of your life! However, you have a nudging feeling, that….you are here for a reason, a purpose and a season.
In the back of your mind you keep hearing the words of the great teacher Myles Munroe: “we are supposed to die empty!” Meaning when we die, we should have used all our gifts to make this world a better place!
Still on the other hand you may be feeling; where I am now sucks!! I know I was created for greater than this….however I am not sure what that greater is. This is a time to be still, introspect, pray, meditate or do anything that gives you space to go deep within yourself. Take the time to figure out if you are living your life in integrity with your core values. Or if you are living life based on what you have allowed others to define as valuable!
In order to make the shift from where we are to where we want to be, we simply have to get crystal clarity about our desired outcome. We have to create a clear vision(endresult) and thereafter formulate a strategic road map with clearly defined milestones along the way. We have to have a compelling WHY for what we want to accomplish, create or be. (LINK TO: Where to from here blog entry).
Again we must remember that a journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step! When you know you are ready, you commit to start exactly where you are, and you leave no option for excuses. You keep reminding yourself of WHY you need to make this shift. You consciously choose to invest and focus your energy on the desired outcome, and not on what you don’t want.
“What we focus on expands. So focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.” (Esther Jno-Charles).
Yes you CAN do this! Decide to start where you are now, and take the first little step toward the Boldly Courageous life that’s waiting for you! Always remember: “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the assessment that that something else is more important than fear.” (Franklin D. Roosevelt)
IT IS ACHIEVABLE!
